Juliet Scott was married for five years. Three of them were good. She was young, Damien was too. They were in love and carefree; had fun and had a lot of sex, traveled to a lot of places. She'd been on track to start med school but when she met Damien, she wanted him instead, and she thought she'd always choose him over everything.
Until she got pregnant.
He stuck around for a few months but then, conveniently his job took him away and the stretches of time between being home and being gone were longer. He was never a bad dad to Mia, not once, but it was like a chore to be home, to be a husband and civilian again. Juliet missed him but she tried to talk to him about it and it was a fight, every time. He had a job, he had missions, he couldn't just give that up. So she decided a year and a half ago to not make him choose anymore. She sent him divorce papers, certified mail, with a letter explaining to him that she was tired of feeling like she and Mia weren't a priority. Like he didn't want to be there when he was back in the states. She wasn't surprised when she got the signed paperwork back with no note in response.
She and Mia have been solo ever since, the two of them moving to Miami to be closer to Juliet's sister. Med school finally happens, and now Juliet's an intern and Mia is five. It's been hard, harder than Juliet ever thought she'd have to do on her own, but she's doing it. She's never told Damien he can't be a part of Mia's life, she's never tried to keep him away from her. When she moves, she makes sure someone in his branch of the military, wherever he is, gets her address. She's not even angry at him anymore, just sad that it ended this way between them.

![]() ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Something specific that almost no one will ever see is a brand on her back that was given to her as a punishment for murder. ♚ FASHION: When living the island lifestyle, her hair is all over the place. Sometimes it's pulled back in a ponytail when roughing it, and in the 70s, was often under a bandana to keep it out of her face while she worked. Off Island, she wore skirts, dresses, heels; typical doctor fare. one | two | three | four ♚ DEMEANOUR: Juliet has learned to make her face a mask. She's not often expressive because it's her own way to protect what she's feeling and not betray her emotions. She carries herself on the island pre-time travel a bit wearily, but in the 70s, she's happy, lighter, and smiles easily. In her flash-sideways arc we see that she's more open as well. The island when she was an Other changed her entire personality, but possibly for the better, as pre-island she was mousy, timid, and taken advantage of by her ex-husband. ♚ AURAL: Blues and whites that project a sort of calmness, the colors soothing. ♚ OLFACTORY: On island, it's unfortunately all DHARMA soap which is boring though does get the job done. But off island she loves lavender scented anything; soaps, lotions, essential oils. You name it, she has it. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: She's dead, and died pretty traumatically, so if that would be info someone could feel/pick up, then let me know. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: She has no magic powers, but would be very curious about them and not outright afraid unless you gave her a reason to be. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: I am open to backtagging for up to a week on an open post; any longer than that and I'd appreciate talking about it in case something has happened in that time frame. I will backtag according to other people's preferences if it still makes sense for Juliet to tag in by the time I see the post. Also of note: I generally try to get back to tags within three days. If it goes longer than that and I've mentioned no hiatus or other issues either via an OOC comm or plurk, please feel free to poke me. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: Please no. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Juliet would not appreciate being touched without her permission if she doesn't know you at all, and if she does, that relationship would have to be very clearly an affectionate one. She's more open to hugs of comfort when it comes to children who are scared/hurt. She won't react with violence, but she will tense and possibly ask why you're touching her if it's unwarranted. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: She doesn't like to, but she will kill someone if she has to. That being said, please don't put her in that position unless we've spoken about it for a plot. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Let's talk before jumping into anything. ☄ Permissions ♚ God modding: At this time, Juliet cannot be modded by anyone without speaking to me first. ♚ SECOND THING: Will fill out as needed. ♚ THIRD THING: Will fill out as needed. |
