Once Damien is pretty much at the front door, Mia realizes that he's really leaving, and she throws herself off the bed, screaming for him as she runs downstairs. "Daddy! No!" She's crying hysterically and she wraps herself tightly around him trying somehow, some way to make him stay. If she doesn't let go of him, then he can't leave, so her grip is strong and tight.
